Credential, not a course certificate
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
The Certified Safety Professional is a BCSP credential. Candidates apply, meet education and experience rules, then sit the CSP-11 examination at Pearson VUE. SafePath is the independent study layer: 132 visual classes, original practice, and a 200-item CBT mock mapped to the published blueprint.
What the credential measures
CSP-11 is weighted toward applied safety and program management. Domain 1 and Domain 2 are 25% each. Risk, emergency, environment, occupational health, and training fill the rest. Items reward control selection, system design, and calculations more than memorized definitions.
How to prepare without confusing the issuer
- Verify eligibility, qualified credential, fees, and the live blueprint on BCSP. SafePath does not rule on applications.
- Sit a 50- or 100-item diagnostic and read the seven-domain report before you grind a question bank.
- Study Domain 1 and Domain 2 first. Together they are half the exam.
- Close calculation gaps (TRIR, TWA, Q=VA, noise dose, NIOSH lifting) with worked drills.
- Finish with a 200-item mock in CBT chrome so pacing, flag, and review are practiced.
Frequently asked questions

- What exam do CSP candidates sit?
